A man was killed, a woman abducted and several persons were robbed during an incident in Cousins Cove, Hanover this morning police are reporting.

Dead is 30-year-old Conray Brackett of New Town, Cousins Cove in the parish.

The Lucea police report that about 12:15 a.m., Brackett and the woman were among a group of patrons at a bar when four armed men entered the premises and proceeded to rob them of cellular phones and cash.

The assailants then opened fire, hitting Brackett several times before they took the woman in a motor vehicle and fled the scene. The police were summoned and Brackett was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, while the woman was later found in the Esher area of Lucea, Hanover.
