Super-talented dancehall recording artiste Dolli is celebrating her first number one with her single 'Gangsta Girl', which jumped to the pole position on the UK Dancehall Empire Show Top 25 Promo Chart.

"It's a good look because it shows that my single has great promise and is doing well without the backing of a major record label, and when I shoot my video, I expect the single to do even better overseas," an enthused Dolli said in a release,

A St Mary native, her sensational good looks propelled her into the glam world of modelling at age 17, not long after she left high school. At that time, she was represented by the 'Inner Beauty' models from St Mary.

However, she soon moved to Kingston in 2004 where she continued to pursue her modelling career part-time, but then she was smitten by the music bug. Now she has honed her craft to the point where top producers have begun to send beats her way.

Dolli is now enjoying her 'pretty thug' image now established by the Gangsta Girl radio hit. The single, produced by Lee Miller on his LMP Production label, has opened several doors for her.

"I have a couple of shows lined up this summer, my face is appearing on more posters. The response has been great to Gangsta Girl, on BBM, every girl putting up Gangsta Girl, and after I did ER the other day, the ting just tun up, right now, mi caan walk inna HWT to go shopping inna peace. People ah recognise me, the ting up inna the streets," she said.

Judging by the reaction to Gangsta Girl in the streets, there is no stopping this Dolli with a difference.
