It is being described by many as a brazen move by dancehall queen Lady Saw - to come out and declare "a two man mi have" in her recent song.

Since the release of 2 Man Mi Have, rumours have been flying that Saw has, through song, responded to comments that her beau of more than 15 years, Lloyd 'John John' James, is involved in a relationship with someone else.

In the song she deejays, Mi man a gi mi bun but a two man mi have/ Him cyaan stop mi fun cause a two man mi have/ Him a run up an down but a two man mi have/ Mi nah guh dung suh a two man mi have.

When The WEEKEND STAR contacted the entertainer, she explained that the song's lyrical content was not aimed at John John, and that she did not think he is involved in another relationship.

According Lady Saw, the song, which is on Dave Kelly's 'Tun Up' rhythm, is simply a follow-up to Mi Like Mi Mate. It was born, she said, from the need to change from the 'matey' and 'wifey' lyrics that were beginning to take centrestage in the lyrics of her song and other artistes' songs.

"People are now thinking that I have two man and mi a give John John bun! No! I'm a celebrity. I can't be throwing my thing all about the place. It's just that too many matey songs have been done...not by me alone, but overall. It's time to say something about the men now. The way I write, I don't do too much on one thing, so we came up with this concept, and now everybody have it as that," laughed Saw.

She went on to tell The WEEKEND STAR that at first, John John had a problem with her doing the song because of comments he feared he would receive, but after discussing the matter thoroughly, all is now well.

"He had a problem before ... when I first said I was gonna do it, and we discussed it, and also with other people. But he's okay with it now. Sometimes he comes home saying people a trouble him pon the road, but people a go mouth him, but them know a me and him," said a jovial Saw.
