Police arrested a taxi driver on Friday after he was allegedly caught by lawmen having sex with a 14-year-old schoolgirl in his vehicle in broad daylight.

The high drama unfolded when the Bog Walk police disrupted the cabbie's hot steamy session after seeing the vehicle parked on the roadside with the windows and windscreen foggy.

Up to late yesterday, the cabbie was still in police custody but had not been charged. He is being held on suspicion of having sex with a person under the age of 16.

Information reaching THE STAR indicates that about 3 p.m., police were on patrol in the area when they noticed the taxi parked alongside the road. The police made a closer observation and saw that there were two parties inside the vehicle. Further checks revealed that these persons were having sex.

When the police asked them to "open up", it was revealed that it was the underage teen and the driver. The child's uniform was neatly folded and placed on a seat in the car, THE STAR was told.

Both parties were taken to the Bog Walk Police Station where the man was taken into custody.

A female relative of the girl became angry and slapped her across the face for being 'fresh' and out of order. She was later released into custody of her relatives.
