Twenty winners receive cheques from Digicel

Digicel last week handed over cheques valued at $120,000 each to the first set of 20 winners in the Digicel $120 Win Plenty promotion.

On January 11, the telecommunications company launched the promotion which sees a total of 120 lucky customers winning extraordinary cash prizes from January 11 through to February 21, 2013.

One of the 20 winners, Karlene Donaldson from Clarendon, a small business owner in Denbigh, shared this: "This is the first time I ever won anything like this and it really is a great help for me. I just started a small business five months ago, a grocery and bar and this money will help be buy more products for my two businesses - I am so happy".

Annalise Harewood, Digicel's recharge manager, noted that "hearing the winners expressing how this money will help them with their small business is truly heart-warming for us - this is exactly why we continue to create opportunities for our customers to win big. We truly value their patronage, and so we are always looking for new and extraordinary ways to reward their loyalty".

To ensure that as many customers as possible are in with a chance to win, Digicel has introduced a $120 top-up denomination. The new $120 top-up will retail for $150 when government taxes are added. Digicel is encouraging customers to use legitimate locations in order to avoid paying more than the market price when purchasing top-up.

As part of this exciting new promotion, all customers who top-up with as low as $120, talk for 20 minutes on their post-paid phones or pay their post-paid 4G broadband bill on time and in full, will get a chance to win $120,000 in cash during the six-week promotional period.
