Singer Jah creates waves on international reggae scene |
|||||
Singer Jah Reggae artiste Singer Jah has been quietly making moves on the international reggae scene, since being crowned the 2008 Magnum King of The Dancehall. Singer Jah has recorded an album for Barcelona, Spain-based reggae label Reggae Land. The name of the album is Warrior of Jah Army and this album was shortlisted in the 50 albums for the 2013 Best Reggae albums for the recently held Grammy awards. Reggaeville, the prestigious reggae magazine from out of Germany, also gave the album a big thumbs up as one of the best reggae albums for 2012. As if right on cue Prayers To The Most High, which is the second single from the album, was voted the number-one song on Boston's (USA) WUMD FM 89.3 Reggae Chart for 2012. Singer Jah is currently working on projects for South African reggae producer Robin Mabunda of the Dreaded Sounds label, and has also recorded with many international producers from Sweden, Uruguay, US, England, Japan, France and as far away as New Zealand, which has resulted in Singer Jah's songs getting heavy rotation across the reggae globe. One Love Canada Entertainment from Canada is now responsibly for Singer Jah's international bookings while Waasskaa Entertainment, which is owned by Singer Jah and his manager Dave 'Jah D' Peart, is the management and record label company that governs the artiste's career. For the immediate future Singer Jah has released a new song titled Inna Reggae and the video is also out on all the local cable and television networks. Singer Jah looks forward to this coming
summer as he will be answering the call of promoters in Europe, the US and Canada with tours to all three destinations. |
