The tears that flowed from Tessanne Chin's eyes as she entered CRU on Thursday night spoke volumes about how she felt to see family, friends and well-wishers at the surprise send-off party that Digicel hosted for her.

When the singer walked to the top of the stairs at the Lady Musgrave Road venue in St Andrew, she was completely amazed to see the persons who had gathered to send her off to continue competing in The Voice.

Tessanne cried. And with her song, Hideaway, playing at a reduced volume in the background, she hugged friends and family, waving at intervals and wiping tears from her face.

"I feel absolutely amazing and overwhelmed," she told The STAR in a short interview.

"I am so completely grateful, I can't believe all of this is happening. Even my mom and stepdad, they flew in to surprise me."

Unable to disclose much about the show and what will happen next, Tessanne said she plans to make the best of the opportunity.

"I am just going to enjoy every moment and try to learn as much as I possibly can, and just take it each day at a time and work hard," Tessanne said.

Later in the night, Tessanne eventually made her way over to where her guitar cake was. She thanked persons for attending and supporting her. She also was wished well by Digicel and family members, as well as other guests such as Marcia Griffiths and Assassin.
