Accused fork wielder awarded bail

A man who used a cooking fork to injure another male was awarded bail in the sum of $80,000 when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Charged with wounding is Patrick James, who pleaded not guilty.

The court was told that on September 27 an argument developed and James used a kitchen fork to stab the complainant in his head causing injury.

Resident Magistrate Opal Smith offered the accused bail with one surety.

He is to report to the Seaview Gardens police every Wednesday.

James is to return to court on November 13.
