So far, 2014 has been a productive one for newcomer, singer Dann I. The artiste, who is under the guidance of noted producer and artiste manager Sonny Spoon, was recently named Best New Artiste by the committee for the Manchester Awards.

The Manchester Awards took place recently and Dann I says the award is pay off for the hard work that he has put in over the past year.

"To tell the truth; I never expected to win anything. This is my first time winning an award and it's one of those feelings that words cannot describe. I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to Pink Panther and the Manchester Awards team, and all those persons who are supporting positive music," said Dann I in a media release.

Dann I believes the award is vindication for the positive work that he continues to produce.

"I think this award means that my work is now being recognised and appreciated. I take my role seriously in delivering uplifting, motivating and inspirational music to people," he said.

Dann I has been warming the airwaves and the charts with the radio hit Time Nuh Wait. Uncle Come and Tek Life are also gaining momentum on the airwaves.

The singer, who is a former member of the boy group Que which entered the Digicel Rising Stars competition a few years ago, is set to release videos for Tek Life and Uncle Come.
