Tarnado ready for the spotlight

Tarnado

Dancehall artiste Tarnado is ready to take his place in the spotlight. The talented deejay who hails from the community of Nannyville in St Andrew, is very popular in local music circles because of his writing skills.

Over the last 10 years, he has written songs for some of the biggest names in dancehall music.

"I've written songs for artistes like Elephant Man, Bounty Killer, Shaggy and Danielle. This has helped me to earn money and to highlight my talent as a writer. I have also gained a lot of experience working with these artistes over the years and I am very grateful for that."

Now under the management of Ria Grant, CEO of Empress Promotions, Tarnado plans to establish himself as a recording artiste.

"I've done a fair amount of recordings over the years. Most of the songs I did were combination tracks with Bugle. I also recorded a song called Swag Like This, with Bounty Killer. Now that I'm working with a good management team, I'm totally focused on working on my solo career. I want to cement my place in the business as a recording artiste," he said.

Tarnado is currently promoting two new singles, We Party on the Empress Productions imprint and Knack It featuring Devaju.

"I'm getting a lot of positive feedback on these new songs. We Party is a very nice party track and Knack It is a hard-core street tune," he explained.

Tarnado is booked to perform on an event called Summer Escapades on June 14 at Comfitanya Restaurant and Lounge in Kingston.
