Trapycal ready for big break in music

Trapycal

Empress Production recording artiste Trapycal is getting ready for his musical breakthrough.

The talented singjay has been singing since he was a little boy, but he didn't take music serious until 2006.

Since then he has recorded several singles and performed at a number of events across the island.

"You could say music is an inborn thing for me, it's like I was born to sing. From as early as I can remember, I've been singing. As I got older I decided to pursue a career in music, I actually started out in 2006. So far, I have gained a lot of experience working in the studios and performing on events."

The Yallahs high school alumni said Bounty Killer and Beenie Man are two of his main musical influences.

"When I was young I used to listen to one of my uncles who used to sing. He was my first influence, but as I grew older, I gravitated to the music of Bounty Killer and Beenie Man. They are two very good recording artistes and stage performers. I hope that one day I will be as successful as they are," he said.

Trapycal is currently promoting a single titled Place Nah Run Right, on the Deano Dean label.

"This song is a very positive song, I think it has the potential to be a big hit. Right now, I'm working hard to make a name in the music business, so I make sure that every song I do is something the people can relate to in a positive way." Trapycal will be one of the featured artistes on Summer Escapades on June 14 at Comfitanya Restaurant and Lounge in Kingston.
