Internationally acclaimed sound system Code Red will celebrate 13 years in the music industry this Easter Sunday (April 20), with their annual anniversary party at Margaritaville in Ocho Rios.

Russell 'ZJ Rush' Alexander, co-founder of Code Red, will also be celebrating his five-year 'Zipaversary' on Zip 103 FM.

The highly anticipated event will feature music by Code Red and friends, as well as live performances by Ryme Minista and RDX.

"I'm very proud of what we've accomplished as a team since Code Red started back in 2001, and the success of this anniversary event is a blessing for me. The venue has been filled to capacity every year since the first one four years ago and this fifth staging is shaping up to be the biggest and best one yet. Our aim has always been to bring fun to the people at a low price. This is the reason why, even though it's not a stage show, we always have artistes like RDX hosting, because they are undoubtedly the party animals in our music. This is the head-top beach run-up-an-down party in other words, straight FUN," said Alexander.

Code Red was founded in 2001 by Edward 'Master Lee' Collins and Russell 'ZJ Rush' Alexander. Over the years, it found much fame with sound clash victories such as four back-to-back Fully Loaded titles in the early 2000s, and its large catalogue of original reggae remixes. Code Red has toured extensively in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Japan, and as far as Africa.

Having undergone changes over the years, the sound stands tall with a dynamic partnership of ZJ Rush, Chris Dymond, DJ Lank and Sigar.

Code Red Anniversary is sponsored by Smirnoff, Zip 103 FM, Disc2Disc Duplication and Juss Buss Acoustic. Admission to the event is $1,000 and ladies are two for one all night and free before 11 p.m.
