get into spirit

Morris however denied the allegations, stating that the complainant and his mother were liars.

When RM Pusey asked the seven-year-old complainant to explain what happened, Morris, could be seen attempting to 'get into spirit' to which RM Pusey stated, "don't bother get in spirit in here."

Morris also stated that she had no reason to lie, "your honour, I wouldn't lie, I have been in the church for one year and two months now."

Morris went on to speak disdainfully about the complainant's mother, which earned her the ire of RM Pusey.

"For a woman in the church, you talking all these things with a child present and in front of big people and in front of me!"

"Your gonna have to stay with me, you betta calm down between now and tomorrow or yuh gonna spend longer time with me."

Morris is to return to court today.
