Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

A man who allegedly fired a gun at another, had his bail extended when he appeared in the Gun Court on Friday.

Junior Smith unemployed of Fifth Avenue, Kingston, is charged with illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent.

Allegations are that on June 5, 2012, the complainant was walking along Sixth Street in Kingston, when he saw the accused who is affectionately called "Bajah" with a gun.

He ran off and heard an explosion and felt a painful blow on his left foot.

He realised that he had been shot but managed to crawl under a cellar and hid.

The accused is to reappear in court on July 27 when the matter will again be mentioned.
