The Mocho police are now investigating two domestic-related murders in as many days following yesterday's slaying of 34-year-old farmer, Lincoln McLean, in the Wakefield area of Smithville, Clarendon.

According to the police, McLean and a family member got into an altercation sometime after 10 a.m. During the confrontation, McLean was chopped to death.

Reports said the family members then went to the Mocho Police Station and reported the incident. Police went to investigate and found McLean's body.

"I know that both of them are involved in a court case, but it seem like it escalated to the point where one was killed," a policeman at the station told The Star yesterday.

McLean's father, Delroy, said he was in church preparing for service when he heard that his son was chopped to death. The teary-eyed father described his son as a hard-working father and wondered what is going to happen to his two children.

"Me just reach a church and a pull up the windows when I get the call and when pastor carry me up here, me see Lincoln dead. Lincoln worked seven days a week, him plant everything and now that him dead, how him two children going to manage?" he asked, shaking his head.

The Mocho police are also probing the circumstances surrounding the death of Mendez Dyer from Foga district in Mocho.

Police said Dyer, 70, who is said to be of unsound mind, was caught last Friday pilfering from a farm. During a dispute, he sustained injuries and was pronounced dead at the May Pen Hospital.
