Up-and-coming entertainer IC sings of his vision for not only himself, but for Jamaica in his latest single, 'Poor'.

He is gaining the attention of industry insiders and dancehall fans as he says Poor is receiving a lot of positive feedback in the streets.

"It's one of those songs that many people can relate to because the topic addressed in the song is one that the entire Jamaica is being faced with. Being poor is a real issue in Jamaica, so when people hear the song, they can identify with it because the situation is real," said IC.

The song, featured on the Unity Flex rhythm, opens with the catchy chorus, "Well, I can't take this no more/ I'm tired of living poor/ Fi di poor epidemic dem fi find a cure."

In the verses, he goes on to describe many situations of 'being poor' in Jamaica. Guns, drugs, and rape are a just a few of the topics he addresses.

No music video yet, but IC said many plans for the song are on the drawing board. "It's been getting airplay on radio stations here and overseas, and we have a lot of other plans that will soon be set in motion," he shared.

IC is busy in the studio working on new songs and also preparing for upcoming shows.
