Woman accused of swiping more than $10,000 worth of shoes |

A woman, who is accused of stealing over $10,000 worth of shoes from a shoe store, was fined $30,000 or spend two months in prison when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday. Pleading guilty to simple larceny is Marsha Green of a Kingston 12 address. Her co-accused, Delano Clarke, also of a Kingston address, was not brought to court on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29. It is alleged that on June 30, at around 2:10 p.m., the accused entered the property of Payless Shoe Source store in Sovereign Centre, Liguanea, and stole one blue Fioni shoes, valued $2,695; one turquoise wedge sandals, valued $4,195; one black smart fit school shoes, valued $1,995, and one pink Sesame Street sandal, valued $1,995. While attempting to leave with the stolen items, she was apprehended by security guards, who recovered the items. The police were called and the accused was arrested and charged. |
