VP Records' VPAL Distribution has signed a new two-year digital distribution deal with Mightful13 Records' boss, Fitzroy Francis.

The agreement, which was signed on July 3, will see the reigning New York Producer of the Year receive 80 per cent profit from sales, which is increased by 10 per cent.

The new and improved deal comes after the Jamaican, who now resides in Queens, New York, released a string of number-one singles such as Zanadu's Trade Winds, Chrisinti's 36 Bullets and Heart Of A Champion, Michelle Gordon's Essence Of Life, Andrew Bees' Better Muss Come and Chyna Nicole's Take Me To The Moon.

Head of VPAL operation, Donovan Williams, and VP Records boss Chris Chin, said they were both pleased to have reached a new deal with Francis, as his label continues to produce quality reggae music in a period where dancehall has saturated the market.

Francis, who grew up in Waterhouse, Kingston, expressed great delight at the recent signing and credited the achievement to the hard work invested into the projects aforementioned.

"There is a reward for every honest work you put out there, so, therefore, we are very pleased with this new deal as it indicates our works are being recognised and appreciated," he said.

So far this year, the label has released several tracks featuring only female artistes such as Chyna Nicole's CheersFor The Education, I Won't Surrender by Jojo Mac, Bring It On Home To Me by Canadian artiste Teri and A Woman Called Moses by Michelle Gordon.

Francis, a former Kingston College man, said he will be releasing three new materials shortly. These include Always Want To Be With You and Masquerade Of The Heart by Zanadu and Chyna Nicole, as well as an instrumental by Danny Axe.
