Reggae artiste Nesbeth had a very busy weekend as he performed on two shows in one night.

First, he appeared as a special guest act during the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's Festival Song finals on Saturday. Then he journeyed to Portland to perform on Louie Culture's show, 'Portland Splash', later that night and delivered a performance that reggae fans are still raving about.

After a stellar introduction by the show organiser and original 'Gangalee', Louie Culture himself, Nesbeth walked onstage confidently, and Riddim 2000 immediately struck up the strains of Old Gangalee and the crowd went wild.

As he performed the first couple of bars, a resounding forward bubbled from the back of the crowd drowning out the band, and Nesbeth was forced to pull up the song. He performed the song again, energetically using every inch of the stage to get the song across. The crowd loved it.

The artiste then segued into Boardhouse to the delight of the fans, and he had to perform the song twice.Then he went into Taste Victory, before ending his set on a powerful note with Guns Out, which he was forced to pull up three times.

'I really enjoyed performing for the people of Portland, it was a joy," Nesbeth said.

Nesbeth has been enjoying a resurgence in his career with the success enjoyed by Ole Gangalee, a controversial single, which is a take-off of Louie Culture's 1990s classic Gangalee.

Two weeks ago, the song held the number one position on the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart, and the Stampede Street Charts.

Nesbeth is currently promoting new single, Taste Victory, one of several that will be on his upcoming EP titled Victory to be released later this year.
