Court hears that .... Man abducts exoticdancer on bike

A 23-year-old man who is accused of abducting a female was remanded until September 4 in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

He is charged with rape and abduction.

The Crown alleges that the complainant, who dances at a nightclub, was abducted from Orange Street, Kingston, and taken to an address in Bull Bay, St Andrew.

The accused man's attorney, in attempting to secure bail for her client, questioned the allegations. The attorney argued that the complainant was lifted on to the man's motorcycle, but made no attempt to get off during the journey, which she believed, had traffic lights on the way.

Prosecutors in opposing bail cited the possession of a gun. A forensic report is outstanding in the matter. The man is to return to court on September 4, 2014.
