Anaicon delivers at Marcus Garvey Celebration

Anaicon

Local reggae singer Anaicon delivered a captivating performance of his most recently released single'True Identity', at the Marcus Garvey Celebration, held recently in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on the grounds of Irie FM.

The single, produced by St Ann-based recording label Osujah Records, was most befitting of the occasion, as it highlights the importance of knowing and adhering to one's true African identity, in the objective of preserving our heritage and fostering the cultural and spiritual development of the black race.

Anaicon, real name Oshaine Anderson, who hails from St Ann, is readily regarded as an ardent performer and potent lyricist, and as such has produced other riveting singles such as Marijuana Love and Kingston Hey Jamrock, both on the Osujah Records Label.

Anaicon has also been labelled as an energetic performer as he has shared stages with industry heavyweights such as Ninja Man, Teflon, Bongo Herman, Nature and Hezron, to name a few.

"My objective as an artiste is to provide inspiration and social empowerment through the music. As an artiste. I realise the important role I play, as a mentor and a messenger, to uplift the minds of the weak and downtrodden and to let them know that anything they want to achieve can be achieved with the right mindset," he said.

A video for True Identity will be shot soon. The artiste is now being poised to make a serious dent in the walls of the local and international reggae scene. You can visit www.youtube.com/Anaicon, or www.facebook/Osuhaj Records to learn more about this militant and fast rising artiste.
