Tarrus Riley for Live in the City

Live in the City returns to CRU Bar and Kitchen tomorrow. This week's staging is headlined by international reggae artiste Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser and The Blak Soil Band.

There will also be special guest performances by Duane Stephenson and Bugle.

Live in the City, launched at the St Andrew-based hot spot on Wednesday, August 20, is a live-music series produced by Marriott International Productions, in association with PR-ETC and co-sponsored by Caribbean Producers Jamaica and Mercedes-Benz, featuring some of Jamaica's most prominent acts as well as rising talents.

The series launch featured Konshens and members of the Subkonshus team in a capacity-filled benefit show where part-proceeds were in aid of law student Lanesa Down's fight against lupus.

This week's show, dubbed 'Love Situation', The Album, 'A Tribute To Rock Steady', will see part-proceeds being channelled to Tarrus Riley's back-to-school Christmas charity, a charity the artiste does annually in his home parish of St Thomas.

Each staging of Live in the City will seek to give support to a charitable cause.

Patrons will be feted to an intimate musical experience, with the first 150 receiving a complimentary glass of Hob Nob Wicked red wine on entry. Showtime is 9 p.m. Contribution is $1,500.
