Man shot 13 times in St Elizabeth

The police have reported that no motive has yet been established in an incident involving a man who was shot 13 times by unknown assailants in St Elizabeth on Sunday.

The police's Corporate Communications Unit, the information arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, reports that no one has so far been held in connection with the incident. The unidentified man is reportedly still in hospital undergoing treatment.

Information reaching our news desk is that the victim was reportedly at a venue in the parish, when armed men aboard a motorcycle opened fire, hitting him 13 times.

Detectives from the Junction Police Station continue their investigations.
