The duo was reportedly at odds two years ago. This time, Quick Cook is urging Popcaan to stop disrespecting his fans.

According to Quick Cook, his fans in Costa Rico sent him an audio recording of the 'Unruly Boss' disrespecting him.

"Mi go Costa Rica week before last and him go the weekend that just passed. Some of my fans saw him and said 'Can we get a picture quick, quick, quick' and him tell dem say fi stop call Quick Cook name cuz mi a fish. Him a tell dem say mi name 'Fish Cook'," an angry Quick Cook told THE STAR.

He said he is surprised at the utterance, since he had recently seen Popcaan at an event.

"Mi nuh know wha dat fah. Mi see him wha day and him never try diss me but mi realise say when him go Caribbean countries him try style me all the time. Him sing the song and a say 'hear mi nuh fish cook'. Him come back wid the same ting. Mi fans dem very upset by this," he said.

He added that Popcaan was trying to tarnish his reputation because his career was now taking off. Quick Cook also took to Instagram to post several photos of Popcaan, labelling him as 'frock caan'.

"Mi ting a shot to the sky and him a try mash it up. A nuh di first time people a come to me and tell mi say Popcaan still a try style me, but a one ting mi a tell Popcaan, do music and leave Quick Cook name alone. If you nuh have nutten good fi say, leave it alone."

Several efforts to get a comment from Popcaan proved futile.

In the meantime, Quick Cook is currently working with several top local producers including ZJ Liquid, Markus Myrie and Justus Arison. He has also introduced a new slang called 'bread', which he says has been catching on in the streets.
