Bjorn Burke, Staff Reporter

A watchman accused of making off with items while overseeing two properties was further remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Thursday.

Charged with simple larceny is 33-year-old concrete finisher and watchman Paul Wright of a Crescent Road, Kingston 10, address.

Allegations are that on September 12, the accused man is believed to have stolen a water pump valued at $25,000, property of a popular fast-food chain, while overseeing the premises in which the item was located.

It is also alleged that on the same day, the accused man, overseeing another property, stole an eight-gallon air compressor valued at $30,000.

The attorney representing Wright maintained her client's innocence, stating that he was not the perpetrator of the aforesaid offences.

Subsequently, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered Wright further remanded until today pending an outstanding report from a security company involved in the matter. A fingerprint order was also made against the accused.
