Cops investigate suspected drowning |

Police in Clarendon have launched an investigation into what is believed to be a suspected case of drowning in the parish yesterday.
Forty-year-old Davis Robinson of Savanna district in Hayes in the parish is suspected to have drowned at the Salt River Beach in the parish yesterday. Information received from the Lionel Town police is that about 11 a.m., Robinson and two other men went fishing. The police said Robinson went into the river to retrieve a tool. While swimming, the police said, he allegedly got into difficulties and drowned. The police were alerted and Robinson was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. |
