Harbour View and Reno battled to a dramatic 3-3 draw in the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) third round at Harbour View Stadium yesterday.

Reno's leading goalscorer Craig Foster hit a brace in the 54th and 89th minutes after Afiba Chambers netted in the 16th. Harbour View goals were scored by John Ross-Edwards (82nd), Kemar Lawrence (85th) and substitute McKaully Tulloch (86th). The visitors went 2-0 up, but the home team fought back gallantly and scored three times inside four minutes late in the game. However, Foster's fourth goal in three games ensured his team a share of the points.

There was more drama in the game when referee Kevin Morrison mistakenly booked goalscorer Chambers for a second yellow card and showed him the red card. However, the player pleaded that it was only a first yellow and a fact confirmed by FIFA referee Stacey-Ann Grayson. Chambers remained on the pitch.

Good football

Both teams also wasted some clear chances, but in the end the small size crowd enjoyed some good goals especially a 35-yard strike by Edwards. Foster was happy that he scored the double that gave the team a point away from home.

"I thought we played good football today (yesterday), but we lapsed and they scored three times inside four minutes," Foster said.

"Well, I'm naturally happy to be scoring goals for my club. I'm working hard and hope the rich form will continue to help Reno gain points," he added.

Coach of Reno, Patrick Graham, was also elated that his team earned a point on the road to remain unbeaten on five from three games.

"I'm most definitely satisfied to get a point away. I can't complain. We have to work on the defensive area of the game as the team has given up four goals in the three games," Graham said.

Meanwhile, Harbour View's coach, Andrew Hines, was disappointed that his team did not walk away with maximum points.

"I'm somewhat disappointed with the result after going ahead late in the game," Hines said.

"We will continue working hard in training as it is early days in the competition. No need to panic after three games," he added.

The game between Rivoli and Sporting Central was not played because several Rivoli players were down with the Chikungunya disease.
