The Bob Marley Museum is to be renovated over a two-month period, starting next moth.

A release from the operators of the museum yesterday said the renovation, scheduled to start on October 6, comes as the family of the great icon and members of the Bob Marley Group of Companies seek to preserve the museum's rich heritage.

The 33-year-old museum, located at 56 Hope Road, St Andrew, is considered a solid piece of the history and culture of Jamaica.

The museum offers thousands from around the world an up-close and personal look into the life of the great reggae icon the world has ever seen, Robert Nesta Marley, through daily tours and has been hailed several times as the preferred excursion spot for visitors to the island and by several international travel guides and agencies.

The release said the extensive renovations will allow for the very best tour experience for its visitors.

During the renovation period, the operators of the museum have invited guests to extend their knowledge of Bob Marley by visiting Tuff Gong International at 220 Marcus Garvey Drive and taking advantage of the special pricing incentives for tours at that location.

"The management and staff of the Bob Marley Museum apologise for any inconvenience and offer our sincere thanks for your patience and support. Should you have any concerns, please email us at tourdesk@bobmarleymuseum.com, onlocation@tuffgong.com, or call us at 876-923-9380/2/3 Extn 225 or 257," the release said.
