Inspired by two of dancehall's greatest, deejay Xten, after releasing Tell Them Don't Pree and Party Frequent, is on a mission to raise his musical profile to the international prominence of his mentors, Sizzla Kalonji and Agent Sasco.

The deejay began his recording career in 2008 with Something Out Of Myself. He grew up listening to a number of dancehall acts, but felt inspired whenever he heard Sizzla and Sasco, and dreamt that one day he would be the next dancehall great.

With this aspiration in mind, he began writing lyrics. Before long, he got a big break with a command performance at his alma mater, Thompson Town High. After his debut performance, the artiste recalled that he hit the karaoke circuit, performing and perfecting his craft.

"Something Out Of Myself was an announcement to my peers and my growing fan base that I am a aspiring dancehall star, but am ready for the world now," he declared with a confident swag.

He followed-up Something Out Of Myself with Fast Cash. Black Kat's ace selector, Pink Panther, came calling and signed him to the Five Star Camp. At Five Star, Xten recorded and released Mommy Don't Worry, which had a successful run on a number of local radio's stations.

Xten, who holds down a regular 9-5, also sharpened his stage-craft with participation in the Magnum' King's and Queen of Dancehall talent contest, an experience he described as a learning one.

With Tell Them Don't Pree and Party Frequent getting heavy rotation in the dances, Xten believe his time has finally come.
