Chozenn to release first gospel single

Gospel artiste Chozenn is gearing up to release his first gospel single since his transformation to Christianity in August of this year.

The single is called God Love Yu Enuh, produced by Kevin Smith, and its release will also carry an accompanying music video.

The deejay says the experience of releasing his debut gospel single is exciting.

"I feel comfortable and excited. The spiritual move is just amazing and I feel welcomed in the gospel fraternity and I am happy. It's just a wonderful feeling to be doing something good. God has blessed me with wonderful elders and a good church, and I feel accepted and at home. You are going to have people who doubt and naysayers, but when God is in charge, you don't really look at those things," Chozenn said.

The music video will be filmed on October 24 and 25. The deejay says the visual will create more awareness about his transformation. Also an avid events organiser, Chozenn will be collaborating with fellow gospel artiste Omari to host the first staging of Kingston Jerk and Gospel Music Festival.

The festival will be hosted on December 20, 2014 at Hope Gardens, St Andrew, and will feature performances from some of Jamaica's top gospel entertainers.
