Razor B showcases Jamaican dancers

Toronto-based dancehall artiste Razor B has placed Jamaican dancers on the forefront thanks to their involvement and high-energy dance routines in two of his latest videos.

He has released the videos for Trailer Load and Wine And Pedal. Both were directed by Wayne Benjamin for Fabrikated Projex. Wine And Pedal is produced by the Canadian production team, GO7. DJ Tropical produced Trailer Load.

Among the female dancers featured are Global Girls, Lisa Global, First Lady, TC, Kimmie Manaj, Luggo Luggo, Swatwinz and Chin.

According to Razor B, female dancers play a significant role in portraying Jamaica's rich and diverse culture, therefore having dancers in his videos was his way of enhancing their talent.

"I have worked with Wayne Benjamin on most of my projects. He is a director that I trust and I like his professionalism. I sent him both songs and, in less than a day, I received the treatments in my email. Wine And Pedal was much easier. The dance and idea was given to me by the Global Girls. For Trailer Load, we got a bunch of girls and a couple trailers and had the dancers do their routines," Razor B said in a media release.

Wine And Pedal (a remix features dancehall deejay Gage) and Trailer Load have both been receiving significant airplay locally. Trailer Load samples Shabba Ranks' 1990s hit song of the same name.

"The concept behind both videos was to showcase some of Jamaica's finest female dancers. Not only do we have a new dance in Wine And Pedal, but we also old school with Trailer Load, so big up to Shabba Ranks because a him first bring out the trailer load a girls," Razor B noted.

Razor B has been busy in the studios, working on songs for his upcoming album. Among his latest recordings are Hearsay, Champion and Cater To You.
