Salanyde Saffari set to make a musical explosion

Recording artiste Salanyde Saffari, formerly known as Salanyde, is getting ready to make a musical explosion.

The dreadlocked deejay originally from Clarendon resided in Grand Cayman for a number of years before returning home last year.

Living in Cayman, he worked as a horticulturalist, however, in his spare time, he worked on his music.

In 2006, he made his recording debut in Cayman with a single called In Your Arms featuring Bishmezzy and Phynezz.

After that, Salanyde Saffari recorded a number of other singles, including Girls Lead and Better Days.

In 2013, Salanyde Saffari, real name Sean Gordon, decided that he wanted work on his music career full time, and in order to do that, he relocated to Jamaica.

"Living in Cayman was a good experience, it enabled me to learn new things and make a living. But the music scene over there is limited. It's not as vibrant as it is in Jamaica, that's one of the main reasons I returned home."

Over the last eight months, he has been working with the Kingston-based producer Greg Fuzionz.

The artisteis getting ready to release a7-track EP titled For Eva Burnin, before the end of October.

"Since I've returned home, I have been working with Greg Fuzions. He's a very creative producer. We are doing some good work together. The first single to be released off the EP isDown Town.
