Education Ministry to do clean-up |
|||||
Starting Wednesday, the Education ministry and other education officials are to embark on a week-long national clean-up of schools, ending October 22. According to the Ministry of Education, the period chosen coincides with the upcoming mid-term break and schools are free to decide on what day, or days, are most convenient. Participating schools are advised to notify regional offices, which are ready to provide logistical support. The education ministry is also advising schools to follow the guidelines stipulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to organise the clean-up day. As stipulated by MOH, each school is expected to hold a meeting, or workshop, to build awareness among its main stakeholders
students, parents and community members, about vector-borne diseases. |
