Three die from suspected chik-V complications

The education ministry says two teachers and a student of the Vere Technical High School in Clarendon died in the last two days from suspected complications related to the chikungunya virus.

These incidents bring to five the number of school-related deaths being linked to chikungunya.

Earlier this week, a student of the Shortwood Teachers' College died after complaining of suffering from chik-V-related symptoms.

There were also cases involving students from Camperdown High in Kingston and Mona Primary School in St Andrew.
