Two dead, one injured

Detectives from the Constant Spring Police Station are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that has left two men dead and a woman injured in Barbican, St Andrew, last Saturday.

Dead are 44-year-old Eric Brown of a Barbican Road, Kingston 8 address and another man who has yet to be identified.

The police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) reports that on October 18 at approximately 8:18 p.m., Brown was at a lounge located along a section of Barbican Road when an armed man entered the premises, opening fire, hitting him and the female bartender. It is alleged that the unknown assailant opened fire, hitting an unidentified man outside of the premises before making good his escape.

Subsequently, the police were summoned to the scene. The bartender was taken to hospital, where she was treated and released. Brown and the unidentified man were pronounced dead.

No motive has yet been established for the attack. Investigations continue.
