SUSPICIOUS DEATH

Detectives from the Anchovy Police Station are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Tower Hill, St James, last Saturday. The deceased man has been identified as 53-year-old carpenter Karl Fletcher of a Spring Farm District, Tower Hill, St James address.

The police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) reports that on October 18 at approximately 7:00 a.m., Fletcher's family members went in search of him after he was not seen over a period of time. Fletcher's body was then discovered in a ravine in the area.

Subsequently, the police were summoned, and upon their arrival, the body was seen with multiple chop wounds to the head. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has yet been established for the attack. Investigations continue.
