St George's College assistant coach Marcel Gayle has insisted the team will not expect to run over less-fancied Haile Selassie when the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup resumes at the Constant Spring Complex on Tuesday.

Goals have been the order of the day for St George's, having netted 36 goals to date, while conceding only three, after dominating the preliminary round of group A play. The team have also made its presence felt in other competition's, making it to the final of the Walker Cup, and registering a big 5-1 over Godfrey Stewart in the LIME Super Cup. Gayle says St George's will be keeping an eye on their opponents.

"We have been getting the goals, but no two teams are alike. We are looking to go there and get three points, and if the goals come, they come," Gayle said.

Not a whole lot is expected of their opponents, Haile Selassie, who have flown under the radar so far this season. The team made history by qualifying for the second round of the competition for the first time in group D behind Camperdown and could find it tough to make headway against the many-time champions.

"We have been playing well, but we will not take anything for granted. Haile Selassie are a good team, we are just looking to go out there and play well," Gayle said.

The Light Blues of North Street have been drawn in Group H, the group of death, alongside Calabar, Wolmer's and Haile Selassie, but will line up for the second round of competition as one of the firm favourites to lift the trophy.

"Every game in this is going to be important. We want a good start, so we are just hoping to go there and start off with three points."
