Car dealer charged with breaching Customs Act
A man who allegedly imported a luxury motor vehicle without securing the proper permit to do so will return to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on November 27, the date set for the case to be mentioned.

Dwight Morgan, the director of a used car dealership, is charged with breaching the Customs Act.

The Crown is alleging that on Thursday, April 23, this year, Morgan was arrested and charged for importing on December 13 last year, a 2013 BMW X6 motor vehicle into the island without obtaining an import permit from the Trade Board for the vehicle to come into the island.

The vehicle is said to value over $6 million and attracts import duties of over $5 million.
