The Crown has withdrawn its case against a policeman who had allegedly threatened his former girlfriend and her male companion.

Doderick Henry, the former police inspector, was freed in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Resident Magistrate (RM) Ann-marie Nembhard made the decision after the complainant told the court she had no interest in the matter, and the Crown withdrew its case.

He was then told he was free to go.

The former crime fighter was dragged before the court after it was reported that he had threatened a man and a woman in a case against him.

On June 30, the witness had indicated she had no interest and the matter was then put off.

Allegations are that Henry had called and sent threatening text messages to the complainants.

A file was sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Henry was then charged with four counts of conduct tending to interfere with the flow of natural justice.

He was granted bail in the sum of $1 million. He made numerous appearances and maintained his innocence throughout.
