Vershon hits charts with 'Ruff Up the World'

Birch Hill Records recording artiste Vershon is having a breakout year with the release of the single, Ruff Up The World. The single jumped to #7 on the ER Dancehall Top 10 Chart this week.

"The song is doing well, I cannot complain, this song ah mek nuff people all over the world know Vershon. Ruff Up The World and Boom ah my two most popular songs mi do so far, and mi excited about dropping more hits pon top of hits," he said.

Vershon's new, charismatic delivery and brilliant flow is winning over dancehall fans in Costa Rica, Trinidad, Guyana, Belize, Canada and the continent of Africa. Another dancehall single, Apretada, has hit the #1 spot on an ethnic dancehall-reggae chart in Costa Rica.

"The song is doing so well that I have a booking in Costa Rica next month. My latest song, Key Fi Mi Life is also doing well over there," the artiste, born Kemar Brown, said.

"I plan to shoot the Ruff Up The World video when I return from Costa Rica," he said.

He has a slew of new singles slated to hit FM radio in the next couple of weeks. Singles such as Tear Drops, Poetry, Open Relationship, Roll and Gangsta Party have already been released. Vershon will release several music videos leading up to the Christmas season.

"Working with Birch, who is very experienced in the music industry, has been great for me because everything is coming together musically. The beats dem hot, we have great ideas and chemistry, and the hits will come," he said.
