International producer/DJ Johnny Roxx has collaborated with dancehall artiste Leftside for a single called Alcohol.

The song is an EDM-inspired dancehall effort and is already receiving rotation by some media outlets.

Johnny Roxx is a club DJ based in Switzerland and is often compared to Major Lazer, DJ Khaled and David Guetta, largely due to his collaboration with international artistes.

The producer says since the release of the song, he has been receiving favourable attention on social media and Swiss radio. The song has received hundreds of plays on soundcloud.com and is gradually becoming an overnight hit.

"This song is real dancehall music, the drums and beat embody what dancehall is and from you live and love dancehall, you will love this song. I have added a touch of EDM in the instrumental and that gives it 21st Century global sound which will certainly appeal to more ears, so lets see where we go from here," Johnny Roxx said.

A music video for Alcohol will be filmed and released in coming weeks. However, the producer was tight-lipped as it relates to plans for the concept and who will spearhead the production.

"Just expect something unique and special, man. Johnny Roxx does things different, the music lovers listen. Just know that when this video drop, it will be something worth watching repeatedly. Dancehall is a big product in my country and I am doing my part to make it even bigger, and I will be working with even more Jamaican artistes," he said.

Johnny Roxx also worked with Serani and Melloquence with an effort called Party Tun Up. That effort received relative success and charted on beatport.com.

Leftside is known for Tuck in Yuh Belly with former music associate Esco.
