Chelsea Stewart

Her name is quickly becoming a household one and the songs she sings resonate well with their listeners in an instant. Chelsea Stewart is music's newest and most refreshing voice.

The Canadian songbird, who recently ended a monthlong promotional tour in Europe, recently released her debut single Over You. The single was produced by the singer's label, Baby Momma Music.

It has quickly become a fixed playlist item for many disc jockeys throughout North America and Europe, a definite indication of her infectious and harmonious melodic voice.

Two weeks

The song has been number one on the Friday Morning Reggae Review Chart on CHRY 105.5 FM, for seven weeks. And on the Rebel Vybez Top 10 Canadian Reggae Countdown for the past two weeks. It's been climbing Clinton Lindsay's Foundation Radio Network Chart.

The multitalented singer and songwriter said she doesn't allow her music to be boxed into any one genre. "I am a very versatile person and that reflects in my music, which is not confined to any one genre. I love music," she said.

Blown away

She is a star in the making, according to her mother and manager, Karen Stewart, who is a Jamaican.

"Chelsea is a very rare talent. Everyone who has come across her music is blown away. I am not only her mother and manager; I am a big fan of her. She is a big star for the future," she said.

Chelsea has sung for and shared the stage with two legends in their respective genres, Stevie Wonder and Bobby McFerrin. She has also been an opening act for various artistes such as R&B superstar Mario and dancehall icon Beenie Man.

She has a Live in Concert event on November 1 at the Jamaican Canadian Association in Toronto, Canada. She will be also releasing her first EP that night.
