Star Tell Me Pastor

Behind bars and seeking a penfriend

Dear Pastor,

I pray this letter finds you in a blessed spirit and best of health. I have been a long-time reader of your column. Today, I am writing about a situation of my own. I am incarcerated in the state of New York and seeking your help to find a pen-friend for great conversation. I will be sure to have my family thank you on social media.

I am 39, 210lb and 6'3". I am hoping to meet a mature woman for good conversation and a long-lasting friendship. I am an honest, respectful, open-minded and down-to-earth person seeking someone with the same characteristics.

Please, if anyone is interested, do not hesitate to contact me, as I am eager to hear from you.

K.F

Dear K.F.,

Apart from giving your height, weight and saying you are incarcerated but interested in finding a female for conversation, you have not taken the time to say what has caused you to be incarcerated. What have you done that has landed you in prison, how long have you been there and when will you be out?

You see, sir, you claim to be honest but your letter does not indicate that you are. If you were, you would have given more information about yourself. How could a woman take you seriously, and you are hiding the truth from her? You should tell the truth upfront, and allow a woman to decide whether or not she wants to communicate with you. Sir, if a woman is willing to talk to you and have you as a friend, you have to be very special because you can do very little for her while you are in prison.

Please, do not think you can fool Jamaican women. They are intelligent and know a prisoner will not be able to help them in any way. If you would like to write me back and speak the truth, I will be willing to have a look at your letter to decide whether we should publish same.

Pastor
