Fake soldier allegedly held with home-made gun |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A St Catherine man who tried to convince persons that he was a member of the Jamaica Defence Force was stopped in his tracks by police personnel yesterday. Reports are that about 5:30PM police personnel got a call from a school that a man was there trying to influence cadets. The suspect then boarded a vehicle with students to a destination. Police personnel intercepted the vehicle and he was held and interrogated. He was then searched and a home-made gun was found in his possession. The suspect was placed in custody by the Linstead police. His name has been withheld until further investigation is conducted in the matter. |
