A 68-year-old Trelawny farmer spent the weekend in custody, and is now facing murder charges in relation to the death of his son, who was fatally stabbed last Thursday during a dispute at the family home.

Information reaching our news team is that the dead man 34-year-old farmer, Bradley Smith of Warsop, Trelawny had an argument with his father allegedly about a house, however, things escalated Thursday, turning physical.

According to family members the two had been arguing for over a week.

Reports are that Thursday a knife was allegedly brought into play during another heated exchange and the now deceased was stabbed repeatedly in the upper body.

Relatives summoned the police and Smith was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
