Robbers continue to plague China Harbour construction site

Investigations have revealed that the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) has been hit by theft again after a chest was stolen.

Reports are that on Tuesday morning, security personnel at the Treadways site in St Catherine realised the chest was missing.

It is revealed that the chest, which was thought to have contained millions of dollars, only contained documents.

Meanwhile, an intensive investigation is under way to find the item and those responsible for its removal.

The Star learnt that security personnel worked at the site during the time the item was removed.

Since CHEC started to work on the North-South Highway project, it has been hit with murders, robberies and other criminal activities.
