The police have recovered a home-made firearm and one 9mm round of ammunition in Pineapple, St Ann yesterday.

According to reports, shortly before noon, a premises was searched and the firearm and ammunition found in a drawer.

One man was taken into custody. His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
