DaCosta duo to take aim at Come Dance With Me

Jimmie, STAR Racing Writer

CHAMPION trainer Wayne DaCosta's pair of POLLY B and SILVER CLOUD will on Saturday attempt to put the brakes on Dwight Chen's COME DANCE WITH ME in the 1400-metre Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy.

DaCosta has three runners, add ALI BABA, among nine entries released by Caymanas Track Limited yesterday afternoon.

COME DANCE WITH ME remains ante-post favourite after landing the October 6 Cash Pot Trophy at 1200 metres. The speedy filly is also chasing a $1m bonus to sweep the three-race Supreme Ventures Limited Two-Year-Old Series, completed by December's Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes.

Though she comprehensively beat DaCosta's ALI BABA in two wins from as many starts, COME DANCE WITH ME has never faced the improving duo of POLLY B and SILVER CLOUD.

POLLY B, in particular, is unbeaten in two starts, clocking a fast 58.3 at 1000 metres straight on his October 11 debut. He returned to post a stakes-record 1:18.3 for 1300 metres on Superstakes Day and has impressed every day at exercise since.

All nine runners were on the exercise track at the weekend, mainly on Sunday when POLLY B and COME DANCE WITH ME excited onlookers.

POLLY B put in a bullet work of 1:00.3 in a flat five-furlong gallop, distancing himself from stablemate ALSO CORRECT.

COME DANCE WITH ME was fitted with a figure-eight in which she had won the Cash Pot Trophy. She galloped out of the mile chute where Saturday's race will start and clocked 1:01.0 for the last five furlongs.
