'Healing Of The Nation' top-selling album from Cali P

International recording star Cali P is flying the flag for reggae music in Europe and the Caribbean with his unique hybrid sound, a product of his multicultural heritage, having beenborn to a mother from Switzerland and a Rastafarian father from Guadeloupe.

The artiste's latest album, Healing Of The Nation, a Hemp Higher Production,entered the top-five reggae sales charts in several countries when it was released earlier this month.

The album charted on reggae iTunes on the first day of release and eventually peaked at number twoin Switzerland, number three in Germany, number four in Canada and number five in Italy.

"It feels great that the album is getting such critical and commercial acclaim in Europe. The first track released from the project several weeks agoMy Home went straight to number oneon the Riddim Magazine/Jugglers De CHARTS and has been there ever since! There is no doubt about it, reggae fans have been anticipating the Healing Of The Nation EP and I am pleased that they really love it," he said.

CaliPjust completed a 10-show tour promoting the EP in Europe, Canada and the Caribbean.

Born Pierre Nanon, Cali P said reggae chose him, as he grew up listening to and immersing himself in the music. The artiste moved to Jamaica in 2010 to further his 13-year career as a reggae musician.

"I am thankful every day that I really made this decision to come here. Musically, it makes my possibilities unlimited because I really get to work with the people I like to work with. No one is out of reach. You can always reach your musician brethrens and sistrens," Cali P said.
