Laptop, camera thieves at large

The police are seeking the public's assistance in locating five men who broke into an establishment on Half-Way Tree Road, Kingston 5, on Tuesday, and made off with almost $1 million in electrical equipment.

Information received is that, between the hours of 12:05 a.m. and 5 a.m., the men gained entry to the premises through its zinc roof and stole several high-end items, which include three tablets, three laptops and video cameras. The men escaped through the hole they made in the roof.

Lawmen are advising members of the public to be on the look out for persons selling these stolen items and not to purchase them, as it would be a criminal offence.

Additionally, members of the public are being advised to only purchase items from reputable companies or persons, as individuals found in possession of stolen property will be prosecuted.

The culprits, who were captured on video, also left behind several items that the police are investigating.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of these men is being asked to contact the Cross Roads police at 926-6657, Crime Stop at 311, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
